With so many talented contributors, we're very pleased and not at all surprised to announce that many of them have exciting news to announce!

Congratulations to Elaine Terranova, whose beautiful poem “Orphanage,” originally featured in Salamander 15.2, was chosen for inclusion in the 2012 edition of Pushcart Prize XXXVI: Best of the Small Presses, which is now available for purchase.

Contributor J. Robert Lennon’s story “Weber’s Head,” first featured in volume 15.2, is included in this year’s Best American Nonrequired Reading Anthology.

Molly Patterson's story “Moving Fronts,” which first appeared in Volume 16.1 of Salamander, was chosen as one of the “Other Distinguished Stories of 2010″ by The Best American Short Stories of 2011 (edited by Geraldine Brooks).

You Know When the Men Are Gone, a collection of loosely interconnected stories by Salamander 14.2 contributor Siobhan Fallon, has been chosen as a “Best Pick for 2011″ by The New York Times’s Janet Maslin.

Allan Peterson, whose work appears in Salamander 17.1, has a fourth book, Fragile Acts forthcoming from McSweeney's in June 2012 as the second book in their new McSweeney's Poetry Series. He will also be reading at the Northwest Poet's Concord, Newport, Oregon, May 6-8, 2012.
